Default 02 sensor

on my '01 monte, it kicked out a sensor code for "#1 bank, #2 sensor" does anyone know where I could find it? I found one on the top of the motor, but it's nothing like the part I got to replace it. It's a 3.4 motor. Any help would be appreciated.

#2 sensor would be the one after the cat convertor wouldn't it?? i would think so anyway...not 100% sure on that though,

i would think that if its the one after the convertor and its single exhaust right there its going to say #1 bank, sounds like its the post cat convertor o2 sensor

wiz, although seeming quite uncertain of himself, is correct on all accounts.

Welcome to MCF Ben!! You might just need to pull the OS2 Sensor out from the ubend and clean it. Hopefully that is all it is. It could also be a problem with the cat converter and if you have less than 100,000 miles on the car you can get it replaced for free I beleive under warrante.
