Hey thought I could get on here for some help lol I have a 02 Monte Carlo ss and here recently my A/C hasn't been working it will cut on sometimes but no matter what level u put it on it wint work but some other issues that happen when the air goes out is my cruse control won't work and my little Thjng that shows the temp outside is blank it's been going on for about 3 months now oh and sometimes if the air is working the cruse will flash and it will just stop my car has a mind of its own lol any ideas would help thanks

 

Had a similar issue with mine, have you tried replacing the fuses?

 

I don't think it would b that cus if the fuse is blown wouldn't it not work at all ??? It works when it wants to....

 

i read in another thread on here that those are symptoms of a bad ignition switch. i too have that same problem

 

Ignition switch ?? How could it be that ... My car starts fine everytime lol I would think it's like a wiring problem since like 3 things mess up all at once ... But idk I'm clueless to cars... But I try to learn ... When one works they all work but if one don't work they all don't A/C , cruse control , and the little this that shows the temp outside ... It works when it wants to ...

ignition switch it is, when your having these problems is your little gauge on the roof not working as well? cause that's what my car was doing. the blower wouldn't turn on and the cruise wouldn't work and the gauge on the roof wouldn't work as well. I did a lot of research and changed out the ignition switch and haven't had a problem since, and its been well over a year now.

if you do it yourself under 100 bucks, if you have a shop do it around 300
