if anyone in interested Opening Weekend at Watkins Glen is coming up and of course we are going!
Sunday April 17th, Meeting at the gas station just off the I-90 exit 42 for 9AM. Then the parking lot at the Advance Auto parts in Watkins Glen for 10AM, then on to the track.
Everyone is welcome to join us. It costs $25 for 3 paced laps of the track. Average speed is about 60MPH, But we hit some higher speeds, but it is still a lot of fun to get the cars out and take them on the track. After the laps, we hang out at the track checking out cars, then it's off to the Burger King in town for lunch and everyone goes their own way after that.
Had a group of 18 last year and this year looks bigger

I head a yearly event with the Smart Car Of America club and we take our micro cars around the track during the Finger Lakes Wine Festival weekend.
Would love to do it in the Monte - I'm in!
I have been looking for an excuse to bring the Monte there. What a difference that will be.
3 more cylinders, 2.5L bigger, and another metric ton!

Is the gas station a Mobile ? Next to Red Carpet Inn ?
Burger King in Watkins Glen only has a 2 star rating

There really isnt much in Watkins Glen its actually quite a small town so burger king will have to do lol!

That really is a beautiful area & lots of great places for photo shoots (WoW) I go everywhere on the
net and eat PB&J as I look @ all the great restaurant menu's that are out there to be consumed (LOL)
