First, I want to say I had a great time this weekend on the Monte Nats! I thought it was great to meet a couple of you guys, Monte Carlo 3831 (Chris), ChibiBlackSheep (Mike), Jaws2008 (Josh), KnightFan26917 (Cort).
I would have loved to bring home a prize, but there is definitely some stiff competition, a lot of great cars. But I hope I'm not steeling any thunder, but Jaws brought home a plaque! Congrats man!! It's like voting for Monte of the Month, lots of great cars but only a few can be prize winners!
Below are some pics from the event.
After my friend Jeff and I took my Monte to a local car wash to clean it up from the 6+ hour drive, we get to the hotel and find there was a area setup for us to wash our cars (DOH!).

Me, after my friend Jeff and I finished a wash and wax on the Monte (coat #2 of wax for this week).

I don't care what Chibi tells everyone, for the mileage his Monte has, that car is AWESOME! It's truly outstanding to see it in person.

MORE PICS

Jaws, Chibi and Me (Chris, when we took this pic, I didn't see ya, I wish you were around to rope into this photo). This was done just a little bit before Mike and his girl friend were prepping to leave.

Not a Monte, nor was it on the show part of the parking lot, but it was near by and worth a pic!

Before leaving Sunday morning, an '03 Pace Car was still in the show part of the lot. I could not resist parking here and grabbing this shot (the '03 Pace was the Monte I REALLY wanted when I search for mine, crazy high miles and high price tags on those babies prevented me from getting one at the time, but I still made an awesome choice)!

@Space - Thanks man, I certainly don't feel bad about NOT winning a plaque. There was definately some serious competition. I went out there to have fun, winning a plaque would have been just a bonus. But I had fun, so I got what I wanted
@Ricks - I never really thought to take a couple of cars, I just saw a BUNCH. I think if the GM Nats were not the SAME weekend and roughly an hour away, I think they might have had a larger turn out.
If Monte Nats come to an area near you, I think it would be cool for everyone to get a chance to check it out. When they gave awards, they did a check of furthest distance traveled to get to the show. One guy there stated he drove 2,200 MILES!! I believe he said he came in from Arizona! I assume he trailered his Monte, but regardless, that's a LOT of miles. True dedication!!

Remember, treat the burn with a aloe based lotion
Hopefully you're not too badly burned.
Overall, you had to agree, the weather was really nice.
