Heartbeat got First in the 1995-2005 modified class good show. I have to work and watch the dog got to pay for this trip my turn next year going to my 50 year class reunion in California.

Where in California????
I grew up in the Monterey Bay area from 54 to 70.
I never went back to any of my reunions, went a few times with the wife to hers and should have stayed home and drank beer.

Sure I was in Gilroy a few times. I think there was a peach Cannery there that my mom worked at once. My Dad worked for Meadow Gold Dairy out there.
I used to walk along the street that was just above Cannery Row and I went to Pacific Grove to a public pool there, so one summer day I am on my way and out jumps this kid, who was a few years older than I was, cussed me out for being on his side of the street. He pulled a switch blade out and had it in my face. So I was telling him how sorry I was and in that particular area the side walk was elevated above the yards, when he was slightly relaxed I hit the hand that had the knife with my towel that was rolled up and then I gave him a push. As I was hauling *** in the opposite direction I could here him still cussing me and telling how he was going to get me. I just rode the bus from then on a bit further. Never did see the guy again.
Growing up out there made me (as Crocodile Dundee said ROAD WISE)
I must have looked Intimidating back then too. Cause all thru my Softmore and Junior years I was dodging people who wanted to beat the crap out of me, I could usually handle 2 or 3 but they always had 6 or 7. My dad had me a Judo class, that helped. That's why I never wanted to go back for a reunion.

LOL I had the same trip in school too, always getting in to a fight. Parents had me sporting the Johnny Unitas flat top and most everyone else had the long hair and bell bottom pants. Then always had these to corn fed big ol country boys always hassling me. They were the scary ones from an other school I had to deal with at the vocational school. Seems like I fought the toughest named ones in the school. One guy Johnny Marx I fought 3 times, last time he was talking trash after high school was out from the school bus window, I had just got an ice cream cone from the Mr. Softee truck at the school curb, I walked over and while he was ranting I shoved it in his face, lol he was off the bus and we was a fighting in a hot second. Of course we both got taken to the office and were suspended. I ended up dropping out of school 2 months into the 11th grade. Joined the Army the day I turned 17...

 

Thanks for the pics driver3 We had a tomatoe cannery and Gilroy is the garlic capital of the world have garlic processing plants smells like garlic all summer. We played Pacific Grove in football every year.
