Hey all! The Montes at MIS event kinda fizzled out. So here's our chance to get up on the track at MIS for CHEAP! How about $20 pre-registration, or $25 the day of the show!

Let me say, this is NOT an ALL MONTE CARLO show, but a car show being put on by the Onstead Kiwanis Club, and it's called Show Car Nationals, with the feature car this year being the Dodge Viper. The festivities start Friday the 17th, but the show starts at 7:00 am on Saturday.

So I will be there, along with my wife LadyT and her car, RJ, and who else??? Lou, Craig, and you other guys from the motor city area, come on, let's meet up at the infield for a show and a few laps on the track at 70 mph. Swap meet, artsy-craftsy stuff, professional photographers, and more.

The pre-registration cut-off is July 10, so you still have a month to make it happen. And if you don't want to cruze the track, that's OK too, and you'll save $5.

This is a definite MAYBE. Its is a bit of a trip for me and its creating a bit of a domestic disturbance that I have to iron out. I won't be pre-registering, but I have booked the time off work to attend. It is my intentions to attend.

The Budweiser Chev has never done any car shows believe it or not.

 

how far is it from chicago? i like to do a lap around the track...is that on friday or saturday?

 

That's a Saturday. I think its closer to you then me. Its a 4 hour trip for me (one way). And I have to get across the border, wherein the problem lies. I'm good, but my wife has been dragging her *** on getting her passport. It may not be too late

 

It's all of 4 hours from Chi-town, more like 4 1/2.

I don't know anything for sure. I've been to MIS a few times, so I'm sure I can find my way around. The event itself, I know nothing about (except what I've read here). I still have not committed 100%. The deal is, my wife is waiting for her passport to arrive. If its here by Friday then I'll be there. I have booked the time off and got a babysitter, but the passport arrival is somewhat unlikely.

I would definitely like to more about "the cruise". I imagine its only 1 lap. I'd like to have the BudChev out on the track with and without me so I can get some pictures too. The rest of the event is unimportant to me, but it would be cool to meet some other members. Is anyone concrete going for sure?
