MMCC's 4th An. Spring Meet - May 30, 2015
Mark your calendars! Our 4th Annual Spring Meet will take place on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at Kensington Metropark. Park opens at 6am for those wishing to arrive early - Meet starts at 10am.

Location | Kensington Metropark offers over 4k acres of rolling, wooded terrain surrounding Kent Lake. We will be located at Turtlehead Picnic Area, a more secluded area of the park surrounded by water with picnic tables, grilles and restrooms nearby. The park has a daily entrance fee of $7 (unless you have a Huron-Clinton Metroparks annual Permit).

Lunch | We will be having a pot-luck style lunch around noon so please bring beverages, food or a dish to pass. Suggested items:

Activities | There will be awards for the top 2 cars as voted on by those attending and MMCC t-shirts will be available to purchase at the Meet for $15 ea. We plan to wrap up the Meet with a cruise around the Milford area - route yet to be determined however I’d like to cruise by GM Proving Grounds and hopefully stop there for some pictures, etc. (more info on cruise to come later).
Lodging | Anyone coming from outside the area that would like a hotel, nearby Brighton, Novi and Ann Arbor areas have a good lodging selection.
Attending | Members and non-members are welcome to come out and join us along with your fellow Monte owners - please let us know if you plan to attend and how many will be accompanying you!

Directions | Refer to map below. From I-96, take exit 151 and continue to the Park entrance via Highridge Dr. (park route “2”). Continue approx. 2 miles on park route 2, through the toll, then turn right onto Island Dr. (park route 5). Continue approx. ¾ mile on park route 5 until it dead ends into parking lot at Turtlehead Picnic Area where we will be (star on map).

The Meet is exactly 4 weeks out so we're getting there. Anyone wanting a car wash before arriving to the Meet, the closest option with self wash bays is Futuristic Car Wash (47540 W. Pontiac Trail, Wixom, MI 48393). From there to the Meet location is roughly 20 minutes.
