Here's something else to consider as well..

i'm a member of a forum called MNCLUBGP and every year in the summer(june, july) they organize a meet in the Twin Cities.

but that's also quite a bit further for some of our southern midwest members. It would be great to combine that and make it 1 huge meet, but it would also be great to have everyone get a chance to meet up.

so we should stick with this Des Moines plan i think, but have it earlier in the summer so it wouldn't conflict with the big twin cities meet, or unless everyone would be more interested in just combining, we can plan that out too.

 

I think Des Moines would be a great location to combine a few large groups if possible

 

Im about 7hrs from Des Moines but i could swing it to get up there lol

 

I'm also a part of it, not too active over there tho, we have a few w-body's on mngmp but if I'm not mistaken they came over from mnclubgp, could post it up there... That's if the site ever comes back!,

Anyone ever make it to the twin cities ya can come check out my in pieces Monte if you want to see it! I'm hoping it is in less pieces by then!

i guess the people from around the Des Moines area should chime in and see what/where we could meet down there.

maybe at a park or some lake and do a grill out/bbq kind of thing?

 

That would be solid but way too far for me. Hope you get a good amount of people for it. I was thinking of getting something planned for members in the southern Michigan/NW Ohio/NE Indiana area for next year if anyone is interested.

I was gonna wait until around feb. or march to get serious about it, but like i said in the monte nat.s thread, it's within 5 hrs of alot of us and is a big enough city that there should be plenty to do/places to meet. I'm in and crazy excited. Just hope there isn't a good show around here that i'd have to miss out on.

 

Meeting up at a Lake and bbqing sounds good. If you have kids (which might be a consideration for some) it is a kid friendly place....you can sit at the shelter house and talk or go look at cars etc.

 

throw a little camping grill and some steaks in the trunk and you've got yourselves a Saturday afternoon
