We've got a place on Houghton Lake and go by West Branch quite a bit during the summer. I'm very familiar with that whole area up there.
I too know my way around a bit up that way...as we go right thru there(west branch) on our way to Kalkaska...

I'm a new member here, I have a 96 5th gen LS. Living in Flat Rock downriver for 9 years now, Port Huron before that and Joy Rd & Southfield in Detroit's west side is where I grew up. Owned my LS for 8 years now, do all my own maintenance and heavy repairs.
Would be down for a meet anywhere in mid to south Michigan. This 96 is my first Monte Carlo.

I hit up Spicer's quite a bit while up there, usually just to browse. I buy our 2 cycle oil from them. They're a bit on the expensive side on some stuff but we did buy two tubes from them five years ago. We've bought life jackets from them in the past but the new ones are ridiculous in price.

Heres a pic I took from inside my buddys place in kalkaska with his killerr PoleBarn in the back ground... Did I mention the snowfall? Perfect for going snowmobileing. The one Picture is from when we first arrived there.
The second photo was a few days later, Just before we were going to headout on the snowmobiles. We would usually go up there for a week at a time for sledding season.
