Michigan members :)
Hello, my name is Izail but everyone calls me Zeke. Born in Pontiac raised in Detroit. You can catch me in Clinton Twp, Michigan where my mother lives. I went from my 1st monte which was a 97 Z34 which was swapped to a 3.8 na. Sold that and bought a 2001 Monte SS. The 3.8 na went out on me so I did the L67 swap. Now I have a 2006 monte lt which is in the process of being swapped from the 3500 to the 5.3L V8. I love this forum and the members on here. Very knowledgeable and willing to help..

I also grew up in Detroit, then moved to Adrian about 12yrs ago.Its about 1hr 15m away, still close enough to visit family and friends.I just couldnt bear the direction city of detroit was headed in!Turned out to be wise decision, hope it comes together sooner or later!Just cant focus on entertainment of downtown Detroit there are more important things to work on.
As we live close to Lansing we try to focus on downtown Lansing events it has become harder sinc my 95 year old mother moved in. going to look into some type of babysitter for her so Ronda and I can get out more.
I'm originally from Ecorse, grew up most of the time at our cottage in Lewiston beings my father got 13 weeks of vacation per year that he took at one time so we spent the whole summer up there. He passed away in 2006 leaving the property to us. Now I live in Wyandotte where my wife and I are raising our 2 daughters, Megan Rose 14 and Anna Frances 6. We still own the property up in Lewiston where my daughters love to vacation just as much as I did when I was growing up.
I was born in Marquette, raised a Yooper; and still live by the shore of Lake Superior. I'm 1/4 Ojibwa Indian 1/4 Iroquois Indian and half Scottish. Have owned Fords all my life, but got a great deal on my 2001 Monte Carlo Ls, so now I'm hooked with the beauty of the car. Live your life, you only get one shot at it......
Misleading introduction.. I love Michigan and the Great Lakes and all there is to see and do here but I think eventually I'll at least need a trailer in South Florida for retirement to go hide from the winters in!
I'm on my 3rd Monte now. I had a Black 78' with a 305 and an 83' blue one with the 3.8 litre with Chevy's crappy computer-controlled carburetor that wouldn't run right so I canned that engine and put a 327 in with a 4-barrel. That woke that car right up!
Now I have an 04' red SS and love it to death. Rides great, decent gas mileage, and just has a "quality" feel to it unlike some of the other cars of the same size/era (Dodge Stratus, Ford Taurus, etc...)
I also have an 86' Grand National I've owned for too long that I'm finally getting up and running and restored. I had an 86' Buick T-type (same drivetrain as the GN) a ways back that was a kick-*** car too. 26 or so MPG and could run 12.40 quarter-mile ETs on about $500 worth of upgrades!
Nice forum guys. I need to post more!!
