I will more than likely do MIS.

 

MIS is probably 1 1/2 hrs away. Nationwide race is Saturday afternoon.

!st off, I MUST apologize for not being on here much lately, I've been working WAY too many hours, and 7 days last week, 70+ hours. And I know that maybe this isn't the BEST weekend, Father's Day, MIS, and then I find out it's "Charlotte Days", or something like that, so the town will be hopping.

I managed to scrounge (8) $5 gift certificates for a local establishment we like called Reidy's Pizza. They have GREAT food, and about 20 kinds of brew on tap. So the 1st 8 members can have these certificates, if they wish. They're good for almost a year.

I pulled my Monte out of the barn tonight to get it in to get the water pump replaced, as I've been just too busy. So the Rock'n Intimidator SS won't be all shined up and pretty, but with a little luck, It'll be there.

I'll be there by 9:00, and I'm hoping to get the back pavilion, but I have the front one reserved, just in case.

 

Looking forward to this, only a few more days. Should be a nice early Saturday morning drive out that way. For the cruise down to MIS, I think doing a cruise on the back roads, no highway, would be cool. Looks like the easiest route would be M-50 all the way anyway, through Eaton Rapids and Jackson. I'll most likely do the cruise down to MIS and park for a bit, but I doubt I'll stay and watch the race. Although, I guess I'll see how I feel when that time comes.

We definitely had a red and black "checkerboard" theme going, didn't we! I had LadyT park the Solstice next to me originally, but when Ashley showed up, we moved it and put here in the middle to make it red, black, red, black, red

Considering everything went so smoothly for this 1st "Michigan Meet and Greet", we will DEFINITELY do it again NEXT year, to make it the 2nd annual MCF Michigan Meet and Greet. It'll be 2 weeks before Memorial day weekend, middle of May, next year. BE THERE!

The facility was PERFECT for what we did. The pavilion was great, nice parking, etc. Only drawback was the restrooms were a little ways away, but not TOO bad! Plenty of shade, and all in all, I gotta say it turned out good. More of a turnout would've been nice, but considering I couldn't get a May date reserved, I'm happy with what we had.

So now here's another thought: Do you guys want to do it again in the fall, sometime maybe in early October? I still want to do one here in Bellevue at the downtown park. They have brand new pavilions, but still no facilities. They would bring in porta-potties for us, but I'll talk to them more about that.

 

Yes, doing another meet later this year would be great. I would definitely come to that. We could do a spring and fall meet every year, I think that would be cool.

I am in favor in doing another Meet in the fall 4-sure. Belleview iss fine with me too.

I want to thank Wayne for planning this meet and making all the arrangments! it was a great time 4-sure It was awsome to meet these members face to face and swap Monte stories.
