so i forgot to double check the date, and arrived a month early


plus some buses ran me off the highway on my way up, i killed my adjustment, strut, brakes, ect. afterwords i drove the rest of the 170 miles there and back and killed my tires(bald as Picard)

so my monte is in the shop for some work

 

Yeah dude, SEPTEMBER 21st. I thought you were joking at first. Sorry to hear you drove all the way out there on the wrong day but hopefully you'll still want to make it on the actual date next month. Remember, I'm planning a caravan to the Meet from the Ann Arbor area so you're welcome to join some of us for that, however that meeting time and location has yet to be decided. I'll determine that in the next couple weeks.

 

With the meet just a month away, starting to get eager! Can't wait to meet everyone!

I would have loved to attend. Unfortunately, my days off are Wed/Thurs.

Like I said, I hope you're willing to make the trip again. We're always looking to meet new people and we want all the people there we can get.

All right, time to get the MENU in line! Since at the last meet I somehow got the title of "Grillmaster", AND unless it's pouring rain, we WILL be grilling. I have charcoal for it. BUT, we can look back to last fall, and yes we grilled, but we also got wet and froze our ***** off! So we need backup food also, like sandwich meat, sandwiches, or even pizza from one of several joints nearby.

But I have another idea. I have a 110v inverter in my car, and I've used it to use a crock pot. I could cook up some pulled pork BBQ for sandwiches, rain or shine. Hot BBQ pulled pork sandwiches.

We are also considering a cruise in the afternoon, not long, but maybe a few more photo op's as a group. IF we do, I'm calling it "Coupes Da 'Villes". You guys figure it out.

Because of this, I'd recommend to everyone to be there at the park in Charlotte as close to on-time as you possibly can be > meet starts at 10am. If you can't make that, I'd recommend to try to make it no later than say noon. That way everyone can get lunch AND we can have some time for looking at, and taking pictures of, the cars in Charlotte. Not sure we are doing a cruise for sure, but we've discussed it briefly and, if we do, I'd prefer not to leave anyone behind.
