Fall '13 Michigan - Great Lakes Meet & Greet, 9/21/13
 

Considering how we had problems last fall getting a pavilion, when I reserved it for the Spring MCF M&G, I reserved it also for the Fall MCF M&G. We will be using the front pavilion.

Maybe pizza and grinders this time? I'll check it out further.

Bump... now that the spring Meet is past us, lets get this thread out of the grave and going. We're basically four months away from September 21st. I have a list started, post #3 above, of those that plan on attending so please let us know if you plan to make it to this one. Let's see if we can continue to grow and top the 11 cars we had at the spring Meet. :thumbsup:

I'm going to see about making flyers to hand out to any W-Body people I run into at shows/cruise-ins this summer. See if we can also get the word out at the Nationals as well, since I know there's usually a good crowd from the Michigan/Great Lakes area.

I'll be at the Sept. 21st Meet.

Tadd won't be here for this one. He'll be out of state visiting Grandkids. He will be missed, but it'll still be a great meet. Remember last fall was cold and rainy. We have a pavilion, so rain or shine, this meet goes on! Not a show, but a picnic. Bring some FOOD!

I'm also planning on doing a caravan from the Ann Arbor area to the Meet as I did for the spring Meet earlier this year, however I have not decided on a meeting location yet (the intersection right at the spot we met at in the spring is completely ripped apart right now and being reconstructed so probably not the best area to meet). When I have decided on a meeting spot I will let you guys know.

So, regarding the caravan meeting spot in Ann Arbor, Washtenaw County is reconstructing the State St./Ellsworth Rd. intersection into a round-a-bout, and they're actually making good progress; faster than I had thought. They have the southbound side finished and have just switched to working on the Northbound side. Meeting up here, at the same Tim Horton's as the Meet earlier this year, depends on the status of the construction. They may have enough finished by then so I'll see what it's like as the Meet date gets closer.

so i forgot to double check the date, and arrived a month early


plus some buses ran me off the highway on my way up, i killed my adjustment, strut, brakes, ect. afterwords i drove the rest of the 170 miles there and back and killed my tires(bald as Picard)

Yeah dude, SEPTEMBER 21st. I thought you were joking at first. Sorry to hear you drove all the way out there on the wrong day but hopefully you'll still want to make it on the actual date next month. Remember, I'm planning a caravan to the Meet from the Ann Arbor area so you're welcome to join some of us for that, however that meeting time and location has yet to be decided. I'll determine that in the next couple weeks.

All right, time to get the MENU in line! Since at the last meet I somehow got the title of "Grillmaster", AND unless it's pouring rain, we WILL be grilling. I have charcoal for it. BUT, we can look back to last fall, and yes we grilled, but we also got wet and froze our arses off! So we need backup food also, like sandwich meat, sandwiches, or even pizza from one of several joints nearby.

But I have another idea. I have a 110v inverter in my car, and I've used it to use a crock pot. I could cook up some pulled pork BBQ for sandwiches, rain or shine. Hot BBQ pulled pork sandwiches.

Because of this, I'd recommend to everyone to be there at the park in Charlotte as close to on-time as you possibly can be > meet starts at 10am. If you can't make that, I'd recommend to try to make it no later than say noon. That way everyone can get lunch AND we can have some time for looking at, and taking pictures of, the cars in Charlotte. Not sure we are doing a cruise for sure, but we've discussed it briefly and, if we do, I'd prefer not to leave anyone behind.
