I'm would like to try gauging everyone's interest in maybe having a Monte enthusiast dragon run maybe in spring or summer... it would he a good chance to meet everyone in the region. We could go in and rent cabins, spend a weekend and just drive.

Wow, I completely butchered that post. I'm sure everyone got the basics of what I was trying to convey though. So is there no interest whatsoever?

 

If I rode The Dragon with anything other than my VFR, I think the bike would kick my *** out of spite the next time I rode it...

Well, it looks like well just have to start with the bare minimum and workbour way up the ladder, I think if people see how much fun we have, they might be interested if they see what we would have planned, I would like to make it either semi annual or annual.

I guess the first order of business is to figure out what time of year would be best for everyone.

I highly recommend staying at Fontana Village, just SE if the Dragon, on the Hellbender, which is just a good a road, and just as dangerous. Fontana Village has 2 pools, and rooms adjacent to the main pool, along with a lodge and cabins. Foods expensive, but if you're having an event, the have the conference rooms for banquets, also. We've been there twice with 50-60 cars both times. They have a car wash area, also.
We've run the Dragon and the Hellbender probably about 20 times now. The "Bagger" bikes get annoying.
