Car Show Cancelled
I just found out the Speedway Knights show has been cancelled for 2009.
Dear Members ofMMG and fellow Monte Carlo Lovers,
We regret to inform you that Monte Millenium Generations will have to postpone our Memorial Weekend Event, Speedway Knights 2009, until next year 2010. We are sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused to those that were planning on attending or already made travel plans for this event. For those that have already pre-registered, your registration and merchandise fees will be refunded immediately.
I put in for vacation time at work to attend this event.
Now it looks like I get to set around the house for a week unless someone knows of a show to attend in may?

It's sad yet another Monte Carlo related event get's cancelled.
Montes@MIS isn't even happening this year which was a really cool time.
Space, thank you for the provided links. I guess I'll have to go with the nudist events in my state since I can't find any car related events to attend.

, thanks for bringing some humor into the forum in our stressed `out World.
My grandfather taught me to be thankful for what we have,
then what we do not.
It is sad in these economic times that so many events are
being cancelled, and I hope/pray that the Obama-nator team
will be able to resolve the many problems facing our country,
our world. I am thankful that the price of gas is still low.
I still have hope that there will really be a new Camaro
produced : )
There are so many in the USA now that are losing everything.
The world, and national news is depressing.
What can we each do ? Obey the laws of your country,
and do everything in your powers to peacefullychange the laws
you believe are unfair. Remove the politicans that are
corrupt or incompetent in their position. Get Involved.
Help those in need, that you are capable of helping.
There are many rewards in helping others.
Please send all your extra dollars/Monte Carlo`s to `Space LOL

Space, a manager at work sent me an email which I take is accounts UPS as a whole used to service. The companies on this list got rid of 363,125 jobs.

R.J., it scares me to the way our economy is @ present.
From what I read and see on the news, I believe that it is going to
get worse, before it gets better.
I sure hope that you job is secure.
I know my present boss might sell his company interest because
of cutbacks, and contract disputes overseas. The BeachBums
are still in Kuwait, but `if my boss sells, they will return back home, and work for my boss at the port unloading ships.
I sure miss my friends, the BeachBumGang
Life seems to be in constant change for me, but I am thankful
that my girlfriend & I are still employed. I sure dont know
what our future is going to `be 4-Sure.
I am happy that my grandfather is improving with each passing
day. I hope & pray a lot.
I hope that our MCF Members are secure in their income.

RJ, We will be attending the car show Memorial Day weekend at Lane Automotive in Waterveliet MI. About 1,200 to 1,500 cars if the weather is nice. 1,500 there last year. NEVER enough Montes there, but the WMGPC always turns out in force, as does the WM Camaro Club. You would be MORE than welcome, and we could probably find room for you to stay, if you's so's desired.

It sounds like afun time.
I will have to figure out the distance from me to the show to see if attending is something I can do?
The Speedway Knights show in Flat Rock wasn't too far from Debbie's parents and staying with them for a night or two was going to make attending easier on the wallet.
