there used to be a CNFCGP.com site but it is gone. it was mostly grand prixs but they welcomed us monte's they had a meet every year for a few years and occasional mod days. i would help with free tuning sessions!!! nothing major, but was able to delete SES codes for people and adjust fuel trims a bit. i am the manager at the brand new holiday inn express here in daytona. as long as its not during a busy time, i can set up a good group rate for hotel rooms. we have meeting space if we need it, and can use the lower parking ramp for all the cars for a mini car show. we could even try to build up publicity around it from local news paper? also if we get enough people maybe we can get a special tour of the daytona speedway, or ask about getting our cars on the actual track for pictures? i know a few years ago they had what was called the milestones club. i was in it for 2 years and we got 2 laps around the track! i got my z up to 110 one of the banks. but to be able to any of this we need to get some good commitment from everyone. minimum for a group rate at my hotel is 10 rooms. you can bring family and or friends/gf they can hit the beach while you play cars.

so i guess its all about planning a time and seeing who all wants to do it

im down for that! id take off work for a little fun in daytona! on a side note. i think i saw on CLUBGP there is a meet in tampa in February. looked like a lot of people were going to go. not sure if they would let montes tag along though.

 

Oh they better!!! lol besides i can offer my tuning skills as a peace offering the the GP big wigs... now if there is racing and the montes start beating the GPs then we might be asked to leave....

but yes it seems like there is a quite a group growing. and maybe it would be best to just join up with the feb meet. and then aim for another meet in october?

 

yes they better! im sure they wont mind a few montes tagging along. more cars the better. i tried to make a account on CLUBGP a while ago but it still hasnt been activated.. but if we get the OK to go ill be there for sure. maybe meet up with some montes in lakeland or orlando and go from there. ill be up in daytona during spring break nationals in march(not sure on dates). not sure if my car will be ready for show by then but ill be there non the less if anyone wants to tag along

 

i am willing to meet up with some people i am off tue wed and thursday no weekends not on the totom pole like that. there is people at work that have 10+ years on me that get the best shifts. i have seen some here with there white monte's and others but not sure if they were members here it would have been akward if i walked up and said what happining

 

i wouldent mind doing a day or two to goof off with other monte forum drivers in febuary

it is called Spring break Nationals. dates are the 24-25. its a huge car show/Audio competition. and even more i think. right now my goal is to be in the audio competition for the show but im waiting on more details from this show. ill probably be down to go to the GP meet in tampa. we should get someone with a CLUBgp account to ask them if we get some montes and 1fastimp's impala to tag along
