I was just notified that mine has been invited to be a part of the ‘featured vehicle display’ I'm super excited and can't wait to be a part of it and see everyone there! Looks like there's been 8 more Montes selected since I last posted about it a few days ago. Devin, do I see yours got selected too?

Congrats Matt! That's awesome! Oh yeah I got the e-mail yesterday. Looks like the Monte Carlo Forum will be representing the Monte's well this year!

Awesome, congrats to you too! If they're positioning cars by year we may end up next to each other after all

Three other Michiganders (and MMCC members) that'll be part of the 'featured vehicle display' at Chevrolet Nationals:

Paul's 1984 - Full frame-off restoration (resto-mod) finished late 2019, LS powered

Chris' 1986 SS - Beautiful paint, 383 powered

Beth's 1986 SS - All original, only 6,xxx original miles

Hey hi everyone, Thank you Mike, Jason and Dean. June is almost here and does any one know if this is still going to happen? I want to rent a trailer, the guy wants a deposit and with this Corona fiasco I'm unsure what to do. Doesn't it just figure when it is our year to take the stage there is a glitch, lol, Rodney Dangerfield comes to mind "We get no respect". I scouted around the web and not being a Facebook person do not know if I'm seeing the latest news about Carlisle. It will be cool to see all you men again, and new faces too! I think Devin said the MCF will be well represented and that appears quite evident with the list of attendees. Dean invited me to swing by his place and shoot the bull while eating some too. I will take him upon that would be a rare opportunity to meet Dale Sr. Might have to procure a 2 car trailer and load up his tricked out 5th gen, I mean Dale Sr. in attendance will be front page news at an event like this for the Montes. He might get lucky and have a photo shoot with the TV celebrity in attendance, hope she is not wearing a mask covering her pretty face, that would be a shame. Any news post up. I have not even been working on my Monte, sits under a cover month after month. Some days I grow tired of it as it has been quite the fight to get it right. Essentially everything that is going to get done is done, no more big money for it. Any fresh news will be interesting to see how this all washes out. I have been using the moniker "The Corona Kid" out here in Utah on job sites, "Make a hole, make way for the Corona Kid", I get some raised eyebrows and such, but most people know me. Just have to bring some comic relief in lieu of all this end of the world fear mongering.

This exact thought has come across my mind numerous times! And for me, this is probably the only year I'm attending so that's just more salt in the wound.

As of now, it appears it's still on as originally scheduled for June 26-27. I had three shows planned in June, leading up to Carlisle, and all three have been cancelled. I personally have heard from a couple participants who have recently said they won't be going now due to the Covid-19 situation, and numerous others who have said they're waiting til June to make a decision (myself included). I'm not as tied down since I don't have to coordinate a trailer, just a hotel room. I can't help but imagine it'll be different - lighter attendance and participation - if it is still a go this year, whether that's June 26-27 or a later date.

It's always something, isn't it?

I'm honestly thinking that I'm not going to go this year with everything that is going on. It's just too many people from all over the area/country and it might not be a good idea.

Honestly, I'm on the fence about attending as well and my thought is pretty much in-line with what Mike said. And it really sucks because this was 'the' year for us Monte Carlo owners and, for me personally, considering future plans it's the only year I'm really able (and willing) to attend for a while

Our stay-at-home order in Michigan just got extended til May 28 (construction and manufacturing jobs are permitted to resume by May 11).
