I would love to go down with the 84 if it is a non-points racing weekend but they don't have the schedule up yet!! Hopefully I will know soon.
|
I'd like to add that for an additional fee they are also touring the Corvette factory and Corvette Museum
I dont believe STUMPMI is going unless he can get his Monte Fixed on time I WILL be going |
if only we could go play at the corvette track.
|
Not one-hundred percent sure though, honestly, right now I'm leaning more toward going.
I'm bummed I wasn't able to design the logo for this year's Nationals. Had started but got extremely busy so John took care of it again. We'll see about next year's. |

I have to say, if I do go, I am really looking forward to the National Corvette Museum and seeing the sinkhole cars in person which, speaking of this, there's some important news to mention:
- GM and Chevrolet finished restoration of the 2009 ZR1 "Blue Devil" in Michigan and unveiled it on Nov 4, 2014 in Las Vegas at SEMA. It is now back on display at the Corvette Museum. - GM has agreed to handle restoration of the 1 Millionth which began Nov 2014 and is expected to take 6 months. It is the worst damaged of the salvageable cars. - GM says the black 1962 is too old for them to properly handle a restoration of so they will hand pick a restoration specialist team to do that one. - The other 5 cars (1984 PPG Pace Car, 1993 40th Anniversary, 2001 Mallett Hammer Z06, 2009 1.5 Millionth, 1993 ZR-1 Spyder) are too wrecked to be restored so they are on permanent display as is at the Corvette Museum. - Work to repair the sinkhole itself began Nov 10, 2014 and is expected to take 8 months. The Museum considered leaving the hole but ultimately decided to have it filled and repaired. So, those of us attending should be able to see quite a bit of this. |
Cant wait to meet you guys there.
