you shouldn't have to drill any hole at all. did you take off the 2 nuts on each side the struts?
once you do that you put the bracket over the strut bolts then tighten the nuts back on. your 05 mc should not be any different than my 04. the bracket from don rome is made to fit all wide body cars. i have to see how how you install it. amy here's how it should fit. see the 2 bolts that's holding the bar to the bracket? you might need to loosen them up little bit on one side. once you do that put the bracket over the strut bolts and tighten all the nuts.

 

Just wanted to thank eveyone at the meet....this was my first every car event and it was a A-1 Experience. A lot of good people enjoying cars. I learn a lot about the engine and modification...i will do in the future.....

I tried loosening those bolts up but I just couldn't - they wouldn't budge. I just had to open up one of the mounting holes, so I did get it to work.

 

which bolt the one on the struts or bracket? did you try to spray some PB blaster or wd 40 on?

 

The one on the bracket. I couldn't get a good grip on it with the socket.

 

man i feel bad that you have to drill a hole. i doubt if i am working this weekend, but we can meet half way and i will try to put on for you, if it won't budge i'll put the one on my car on silver.
