Here's my pictures from Michigan Monte Carlo Club's Meet on Belle Isle in Detroit this past Saturday. We had a great time and had 18 Montes attend - 2 first gens, 2 second gens, 7 fourth gens and 7 sixth gens. Our 2nd largest Meet attendance. 7 of those were first-time Club event attendees. Awarded top-5 Montes (voted on by participants - winners called out in pics below). Got to see quite a bit of boat and freighter traffic in the river during the day which was cool. It was hot and humid but the rain held off til late-late afternoon (I made it home just in time as some sprinkles were starting to fall). Thanks for looking!

It was a good time and we did have 7 first-time attendees which was great. And the weather cooperated which seems to be our biggest issue.

I do wish we had a little better turnout. I get that things come up, and that's reality, but it's disappointing when we have 34 pre-registered saying they're coming and only half show up. These Meets are posted months in advance, and a few reminders are sent out in the weeks leading up, so there's plenty of time for people to know what's happening and plan. There's an understanding that when you tell us you're coming we plan for that and expect you to be there - I guess some don't take that seriously. That being said, it might be time for us to review what we're doing and maybe change a few things to help with that.
