If they get mad for you not answering a question because they didn't search, they won't be here very long anyway because they either get pissed and leave or get banned.

 

if it's not broken don't fix it.

people that go through the forums will see who posts regularly, and who is well educated.

 

I dont like the idea, it just makes people want to get higher in the rep chain, and then someone that might not like you will give you negative rep for no reason.

 

yep, i agree. if you search and hang out long enough on the forums, you'll see who knows the cars. i dont need rep to tell me that.
keeps the MCF from being full of drama...i think we all know where that could possibly lead. I wouldnt enjoy this forum if all i saw was people fighting about rep and stuff.
Its just a good place to come and gain knowledge about our cars, and meet new people w/ similar cars.

 

The new operating system does have the reputation option. It's currently turned off for the reasons custom95 and 2003supersport mentioned.

 

this site is not a very large site anyway, and most of the people on here are very knowledgeable, its not like those sites with thousands of members and a bunch of them dont really know much. most of the people on here know their monte's and car about them very much, so if you ask a question on here, your pretty much guarenteed to get the right answer
