New Task Bar?
 

So, is it just me or does everyone else also see the Pennzoil taskbar at the bottom of the page with the links to Facebook, Twitter, etc? Is this a new site feature? It's kind of bothersome how my cursor automatically defaults to the search box in it...just saying... :rolleyes:

It's probably something that IB integrated into the site and not controllable by admin/mods. Once I get used to having to click the reply box so my cursor is in it (instead of the search box in the task bar) it won't be so bad...I guess...

Hi Jerry & Member's, I agree :mad: It's annoying. I'm sorry I don't have the powers to do anything about `it, but I hope Lou (Taz) does :confused: I'm just incharge of cleaning the restrooms, and filling as much empty space as I can :)

I don't like it either. It's a paid advertisement, and I can't get rid of it.

I'll ask if there's anything that can be done about it. But I wouldn't count on it.

I don't do facebook, twitter or anything like that except the MCF, that's pretty much the reason I like our forum......:cool:

It's easy enough for me to ignore. What's hanging me up is my cursor defaulting to the search box in it every time I load a page. Just now I started writing this reply then realized what I was typing was in the search box, not the message window. I've done that two or three times now. :mad: The bills need to get paid so I understand the reasoning behind IB putting it there, but I wish they'd leave my cursor alone. :rotfl:

Relax folks. I'm talking with Internet Brands now. It seems to be a mistake. Only guests and members not logged in should be getting the popup. It's being looked into as I type this.

Can't say I like it. Nothing on it I would use...

I just logged into the forum about a half hour ago. How long has this tool bar been popping up? All day? Just in the last hour or so?

What ever time this thread was started. I saw the thread as soon as I noticed it. I was already on here and it wasn't.

I've noticed it for the last 3 hours or so. I don't know if it was there before that. The funny thing is they must have got their wires crossed. I was browsing the forum and didn't see it until I logged in. Now I see it all the time whether logged in or not...even after doing a complete flush of cookies/history/temp files.

it was here when I started @ 5:30-6pm......

Out of all things, Pennzoil? Gah! Hahaha. :)

I let them know it started somewhere around 5:30pm Eastern Time. Internet Brands is currently working on it. I don't know exactly how long it will take. But the sooner, the better. I don't like it either. In the mean time, we'll have to try to ignore it.

If you'll excuse me, I suddenly remember I need some Penzoil motor oil.

Just received an email that a work order to fix this is in, and should be fixed sometime tonight. Keep in mind, they're on the west coast. So they have an extra 3 hours. :D

It will be fixed guys. It's a temporary inconvenience. Not like when the forum got wiped out by a virus a few years ago.
