Default Grammar testing.

I think we need to have a grammar screening of all new members before they can join, kind of like the white box full of letters you have to type out. It would be an easy way to weed out all of the people who make my head hurt, and I believe it could only benefit the forum.

Ex.

btw i rly luv read about mntes and I jst got mine cn I make it fst and what part u use 2 clean HELP pls I can barely clean it n need sound good

Either that or maybe we can offer lessons?

Lessons sound like a great idea.

Thanks, I couldn't remember the name of those CAPTCHA prompts. Also you did a mighty fine job of finding some small things to add in. But come on, seriously, some of the posts are unreadable. I don't really see it as an insult, either.

Maybe spelling testing would be more fitting?

The type of grammar problems you're referring to is internet speak. Many people post on MCF using their cell phone. Yes, the short forms used are hard to read at times. But it's not necessarily because people don't know grammar. They're simply trying to save time. Typing out a long post the proper way can take damn near forever on a cell phone.

If anyone is having a problem deciphering a word, here's a site that can help.
