Default Glossary of Terms Thread

Hi everyone!

This is a thread I think we all agree would be helpful to everyone at one point or another.

A thread with definitions or explanations of common terms and abbreviations used here on the forum.

For example: "L67" is the option (code) for the supercharged 3800 Series II engine. Or "MOTM" = Monte Of The Month

This is a work in progress, so the format will probably change more than once.

What we can do to start off, is maybe post any definitions you would like to contribute. Then the moderators and myself can put all of them into one post in alphabetical order.

If the glossary gets big enough, we can even make it a subsection of the Forum Help section.

Suggestions are always welcome!

My thought... how about a list of acronyms. While they may be old hat to some people some of us are in the dark. Things like FWI, CAI I get but sometimes I see things and think OMG, WTF...:p Of course off hand I can't think of any but I know a few have tripped me up and hopefully I'm not the only one.

Thanks for thinking about us "special" people!

I've found a good resource for general internet/texting/urban terms and sayings is www.urbandictionary.com

It's not really much on automotive terms or website-specific stuff though. Which is why a thread like this comes in handy.
