brake pads

went to take the old brakes off today.
could not get the calipers bolts off.they put some anti lock glue on the threads.
will no budge.this is on both sides.we tried a breaker bar.size 14 deep well 6 point and a 12 point.so i think the one blot head might be stripped.so i called a buddy up he will do in tommorow.less than 2/32 on brakes.when i had it done last in 06 they must of used a air gun to put them back on.how diffuclt is it to get a new caliper bolts?

Caliper pins are easy to find. Probably gonna be a bitch to get out. Its good that they used anti seize (anti lock is the opposite of glue) but sil-glyde is prefered as it can take the heat better.
I don't know why people worry so much about the quality of their brakes. They need to stop the car, and in that regard I have never had any fail (except really old rusty lines or hydraulics - I actually had many brake failure). You'll like the Wagners, but make sure you change rotors too (always)!

By the way, I've had ALL of the above situations happen to me in my 40 years of driving. Never mind the deer, dogs, pigs, horses, cows, sheep, turkey, and countless other animals that have crossed the road in front of me.

I'll take exception to that quote. If I can stop even 10 feet shorter because of high quality brake pads, or even a couple, and maybe a couple more because of the dual piston calipers I run, and a couple more from quality tires, when that kid runs into the road, or the bike swerves and falls, or someone runs the stop sign, I'm GLAD that I spent the extra $10 on quality brake pads that might save that kids life. Tires are what gives you control between your car and the road. I don't chince on tires either. The more powerful engine will only get you in trouble. Quality tires and brakes are what saves lives.
