A lot of people here like the Hawk ceramic pads.

Linked here

They work great and have minimal dust. Plus a ceramic pad is best.

They're the second most expensive brake pads that can fit your car.

Obviously more expensive, I don't know if you would need a "severe-duty" brake pad. But you can use this as an argument.

Those Thermo-Quiets are ceramic, I believe.

These Friction Master brakes say ceramic in the details... the thermo-quiets all I can find are semi-metallic. You think if they were ceramic they would mention that... it's a big selling point.

I sell ThermoQuiet. They are not bad, but not what I sell as the best. They are ceramic if the part prefix is PD, semi-metallic if the prefix is MX. Both are available (6th gens use pd699 or mx699). Ceramic = quiet & less dust, semi-metallic = better stopping power.

High dollar doesn't mean they are the best. For $10 more you could've gotten some Hawk HPS pads. IMO they are the best, longest lasting, and cleanest brake pads out there. I replace mine last fall (the rotors were wore out) at 115,000 miles, 4 years and 2 cars later. (I swapped them out from my '01 SS LE when I bought this Intimidator SS). They still had about 25-30% life left, front and back. Needless to say, that's what I put back on.
Here is a link showing the price, $70 for the front pads and $61 for the back pads, free shipping:
