how do ya like the clifford?
I looked at it also. I really need to geton on my Monte right nwo i still have the stock one but with our idiots below us i would love to get a parimitar of some kind i fully expect them to key it or anythign else.

Not to mention i expect there to have soemthing done so if i had the perimitor it will make noise when they get near it also so it might make them think about it

i like the clifford unit ,works well . and the part you are talking about is calleda proximity sensor , it allows you set .....lets call it ( a invisible force field ) around your car and also in the inside of your car . you can eaither have the proximity sensor ... do warn away which will just keep chirping the siren a few times or you can have it so it will set the alarm off as soon as someone gets too close ( which tends to get really annoying ) .

Yeah, I don't think the proximity alarms work well behind the car, and they don't discriminate.... a dog orsomething could easily set it off, but then again it's pointless if it actually doesn't set off the alarm. The neighborhood kids learn what happens real quick, and dart close enough to set if off then run away just to irritate you. If the vehicle is in view, I'd put up a fake video camera with a little red blinking light.

i actually already have tha tin teh window right above my car and everynight i adjust it to make sure it is set to look at the two cars.
So far So Good but figure eventually they are going to try something. even if it is throwing somethign at it.

But i truley do need to get a good alarm the biggest fetures i want to find in one are as follows

Closes windows and locks doors
glass breakage
remote start
Also would like it to do the sunroof to in case of rain i would liek to find one that will detect water then shut it all up for me as i work and park in the sun all day i have the windows open about A 1" or so for venting the hot air out. but if it rains i have to do the panic dash acrossed the parking lot to get it all sealed up in time.

It would be nice to just have to hit a button LOL
Im lazy

If you don't mind the looks of them (I sure don't, think most of them look great) Use the vent visors. they only cost around 50$, and are excellent, you can leave the gap around 1" still, and even while driving no water gets inside. On the sunroof though you're probably not going to find much for that, unless the alarm you get has programmable functions. If you have a one touch sunroof closing button then it's simple to set up a relay for the alarm.

yes i know abotu the vent visors. this is not the issue im dealing with i want to beabel to secure the car and also stop it from getting wet inside the car when it rains.
I have the visors on teh car now even if most dont like them it actually inhances the cars line or at least to me. but ewither way i dont like to relie on jus tthem when you have rain and wind they dont always keep it dry.
