Default What to use on dash, doors, and center console?

Hey guys,

I recently heard that Armor All can be harmful to the Monte's dash, steering wheel buttons, etc. I have always tried to keep it off the buttons, but I never knew that it could screw up the dash. I haven't had any issues so far, (used the stuff for 5 years) and it looks good. If the stuff is harmful, is there something safer to use? Or is Armor All okay to use? I trust the MC Forum more than general car sites..

I use Meguiar's NXT Tech Protect on the dash and other vinyl parts of the interior.

I use Black Magic Pro Shine Protectant. It will look kind of greasy when it goes on but dries to a nice shine.

I have always heard not to use Armor All on the steering wheel because it can get slippery. I have never heard of it damaging anything. Being in Texas heat, if it has done you well for four years, may as well keep using it. Good luck!

I've used Armor all for years with no problems. i've never used it on the steering wheel buttons tho but they are already messed up from the previous owner.

Some people armor all has ruined their stuff, some not. But it leaves nasty greasy residues that merely cover up dirt and not removing it..

Ive used Meguiars Protectant; Natural shine and the Supreme shine and great results.

I also like Wolfgang Vinyl and Rubber protectant.

Thank you guys!
I will certainly give one of these others a try. One thing I noticed with Armor All is that it has to sit for a few hours at least. Otherwise it comes off on my arms very easily..

I use Meguiars Vinyl Protectant or Meguiars Natural Shine. They always seem to work well, smell nice, and do not leave a greasy residue.
