Best course of action is going to be to take the carpet out of the car and replace the foam there. If the water was filthy, mold could grow.

I will research interior work around here. That must be expensive.

It's not a bad job, you just need to remove the seats and center console and pull the carpet out. Then you just cut the foam where it is wet, and replace it with stuff from home depot. Same thing as putting carpet in a house.

That's what I had to do when my A/C drain clogged and flooded my front seat. It's not hard at all, and the pad is cheap at Home Depot or equivalent.

Part for the cabin air filter fix was ordered and should be here tomorrow. The parts guy at Chevy knew exactly what I am planning for it. My interior may not need to be changed. Once again, I opened the windows and the sun was beating down on the floor all day. Being 85 degrees helps too. The carpet is 95% dry as I type this. Chevy wasn't sure it would dry at all.

I appreciate everyone's help and imput with this. I learn something new about my car all the time. Including that she turned 13 this month. This forum is great.

Sorry, short reply earlier as I was on my phone! You only need to remove the bottom of the back seat. Just grab the seat and pull up, it's held on by 2 clips near the left and right sides. The backrest part is bolted in, so it'll stay up.

Here's my seat completely out, but you'll see where the "clips" on the bottom went.

The center console is bolted in as well, you may or may not need to take it out to get the carpet up enough. I'd say try just taking the back seat out first as it's easier to take in and out.

The deflector for the cabin air filter came in today. I picked it up thinking it was bigger. I am very happy with it. I will get that put in soon.

On a good note. We had some more heavy rain here in MA after I pushed that seal back into place. I am happy to report there is no water on the floor of the car. On the other side of the coin, I am going to save up over the next month to get the BCM replaced so the airbag light is off. Once that is done, my attention will turn back to the fuel system again. I need to replace my fuel lines as they looked iffy and replace the straps for the gas tank for the same reason.

I installed the deflector over the cabin air filter. The instructions that were posted here on the forum were perfect. I just hate the fact that the cowl doesn't sit flush onto the windshield. Other than that, I am pleased with how it turned out. Pushing that other seal back into place did the trick as far as any rain water getting in. Now onto the next big repairs: BCM, body work, and a performance package from WOT. After those, there are some other minor things that need to be done.

I noticed this when looking at the posts on the forum as well. My cowl wasn't leaking, but as a preventative measure I glued the original rubber strip in place. Prior to removing the cowl piece I ran a pencil around it, then ran a bead of clear silicone seal just under the pencil mark. After the silicone set up I trimmed the residual silicone with a razor knife flush with the cowl. You can't see the silicone, the cowl sits flush to the windshield and (still) no leaks. ;)
