hey guys i have a 2000 monte ss and i'm trying to locate the vss wire. do any of you guys have a clue to were it is located

 

I beleive the VSS wire is dark green in the gray 16 pin plug in the BCM. It should be located above the kick plate on the driver side... roughly directly behind the parking break against the firewall.

 

ok i have been told that it is also int eh plugs behind the radio that hook in to the factory harness for the radio.
DARK green/white

Can any one say yes for sure on this?

 

04 Intimidator is correct. The VSS signal wire can be found in the gray,16 terminalBCM connector C3 /terminal B5(dark green wire). It can also be found underhood at the cruise control module connector terminal "K", also a dark green wire. All other modules that need vehicle speed input(radio,driver information center,speedometer,etc.)receive the signal through the Class 2 communication circuit.
