I've got a Kenwood DNX-9140 in my 04 monte. The only gripe I have with it is that it doesn't have gapless playback. Outside of that, I like the GPS & the bluetooth. The modulator for the steering wheel controls was only $80, & I told them to leave the DVD wire disconnected & on the driver's side. After I got home, I connected it into a metal bolt in the fuse box & voila! DVDs at any time, plus it's easy to hide the wire.

I agree dont spend your money on something because it's cheap. They are selling it to you at a profit still, think how cheap they got it, and the middle man between them and the factory and shipping it to America.. You get what you pay for. You can always get used units on eBay or discontinued models etc. Criagslist has nice deals from local's too. I have the Pioneer AVH 4200 and it does just fine for me.. Good luck be pound wise and not penny foolish

The price wasnt the only thing making me look into it, it is actually made in america, and is a local company out in california...i had never heard of them, but did a little research.

I have never been a fan of off brand stuff tho, as I am running type r 10's, rockford amp, and kicker interiors....

For now its def. a no go on the absolute, but i am gonna do some local shopping and see what i can find

that was plus the install. I'm not exactly sure what they charged for the piece alone to be honest. I can't complain because they've always done really nice, clean work. They even cleaned up my alarm/remote start install that circuit city did (horrible experience BTW) for free. If it's something I can do myself, I'll do it, but I didn't want to mess with the bluetooth/GPS & whatnot.

Yea, it was a huge mistake going there. I was trying to save money. Like someone else said, you get what you pay for. They had my car for 12 hours and I still had to go back the next day so they could finish the job. I didn't find out they left a mess until years later when I took my touch screen to get installed. They cleaned it up as much as they could, but he said it was a disaster in there. After that experience though, I never even shopped there again.
