Anyone know what speakers are in there? Cause I blew those pieces of ****, course they sounded good before, so I'd like to get something that sounds just as good.

Here's what I'm looking at getting(Oh, and how much of a pain would it be to do it myself?)

assuming it was factory you had, they were paper cone speakers. Its not too much of a pain to do yourself, just get the right size. I believe the right size is 5 1/4" for the door speakers.

So what do you think as far as JBL vs Kicker?

 

I just put JBL's in my doors and they have good clarity but not alot of low end, but my new sub took care of that. Otherwise i'm not really a car audio guru. Best i can say is read the reviews

 

The stock ones don't have a good low end, especially now that they're blown lol.
I can get those Kicker's near $40. I've also thought going along the lines of Pioneer.

I have these in my horizon and they have a good sound balance. You need to check what the frequency response is of the speakers to figure out how well it might be on bass.

I don't care about bass. The Deck speakers have that under control. I want clarity. At a reasonable price.

 

I believe the door speakers are 6.5" on a 6th gen
