The face isn't removable. That is a nice unit. I've got the z120bt and it's a blast. I need to look into the upgrades Pioneer made to this unit.

 

Do they even make double dins w/removeable face?

 

ive seen it in specs for some double dins, nothing i can remember off hand but its not a common feature for double dins, if your dropping 1k on a deck they kind of assume you have common sense to lock your **** i guess lol

I hear you on the Head Unit. Kenwood Is coming out with the new top of the line unit the DNX9980.. mainly because my unit 9960 had many problems and I want to new unit bad.. I believe its on pre-order. I havnt had many problems with the unit other than it lags at times. If anyone wants my DNX9960 Id be willing to offer. But Sorry im going to be picky on the offer

If I want a removable face then that's what I want, you don't need to agree with it, like it, or think it's necessary cause after all, I didn't say you should get one.

 

hmm? im sorry i'm not picking fights. those weren't my intentions at all, i was just having a conversation, i'm waiting on the drivers to try them before tear down the old pillars because i want to hear them in the smaller pillar, i mean if they sound good, than its not eve worth tearing down what i have. besides its been raining for like 2 weeks also got a few other things i ordered, ordered a router jig so i can build the speaker rings properly this time :P gonna recess them so that i can grill them or at the very least have them recessed.
