Simple Bluetooth Audio
I got tired of plugging in and looking at wires, so I added Bluetooth audio to my Monte.
I already have a USA-SPEC (PA15-GM) radio interface installed. I used a Millenia MIL-BTREC Bluetooth dongle for wireless use.
On my 2005 SS the radio interface uses the XM1 band on the radio. The BTREC connects to the USA-SPEC via the RCA connection (see pic). I used a fuse tap from the driver's side block for power (see pic).
Overall, it works well and is completely out of sight. The Bluetooth connects almost immediately when the key is turned and the sound quality is like a CD.
I picked up the BTREC from Amazon, but Crutchfield has them too.
