Shifter Knob question - 83 Monte Carlo SS

I'm interested in changing my Shifter Knob from stock into something custom in my 83 Monte Carlo SS. Does anyone know how to get the stock one off? Is it screw on, clip on, etc? Here's a picture of it.
I'm pretty new to this car, so my apologies if I don't know much.Attachment 17800

I believe those pull off. At least the one on my 84 did. :)

Yeah it pulls right off (check any performance places for knobs)i got mine from Ididit couple yrs of ago then went to floor shifter.
