Default Rear Speakers

I just bought an 01 SS and it has the old factory speakers, but I have no money yet to but a new sub yet. I've got an old record player that has two big speakers that have wires connecting to the record player. They twist around a screw. I was wondering if it's possible to take the rear speakers out (basically just unhook them from. I don't realllly want to take them out if I don't have to) and then just hook my speakers up. I'm not good with electronics, but I want to do what I can do before I have to ask for physical help. Sorrrry

Please don't! I'm sure the stock speakers sound way better than any record player era house speakers when run off the cars' factory amp.

Please don't alter your rear stocks for your home speakers. YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED.!!!! If you want to just by some cheap rear 6x9's, they sell they all over the net.
I'm just saying....

You can go to the local Pic-Pull junk yard and get speakers from about any wrecked car for next to nothing if your budget is that tight. Quite a few have nicer after market speakers in them..... I get all kinds of nice things at these places, put them on eBay and sell for a decent profit. Just take your tool bag and come home with a lot of nice parts... Impala's, Grand Am's, Grand Prix's, Camaro's, Firebirds etc......They will sound much better than some low tech house speakers tucked away in your trunk.
