I have a 2006 MCSS and I need to replace the radio antenna harness that plugs into the factory radio itself. How do I remove the old one and replace it with the new one? Where can you find the radio harness anymore, dealership saids it's a discontinued item now....any and all help/info greatly appreciated...tks in advance.

Probably this is going to be a junkyard item.

96z34man, yes I agree. I found a 07 mcss that still has the radio in it in the junkyard...just not sure how to remove the antenna cable part that plugs into the radio itself just yet. I don't know if I have to remove the entire dash cover or what...tks for the reply.

Good luck with that. There is a thread here on how to do it; unfortunately, it's useless to us because our A-pillar is different from the 00-05, and the guy who started the thread refuses to answer his PM's.

Thank You for the reply, I have no problem removing the dash trim or the dash itself. I am more worried about the air bag and sensor underneath it, I don't want it to go off in my face. I just need to replace the section under the top dash panel to the radio itself, I can get the harness from the yard, but I don't want to waste their dash just in case I may need some of it from the yard car again later.

Disconnect the battery and you are guaranteed not to have a deployment, unless you stick sharp objects into the inflator.

Anytime you're worried about the airbag deploying on you, I'd disconnect the battery too. Good advice.
