Default Post Your Amp Racks

I'm looking to build an amp rack this summer for my 2 amps and cap, with digital processor. If you guys could post your amp racks that aren't just on the rear seat, that would be awesome so i have a few ideas of what to do. Thanks!

what ive done is cut a board about 17'' x 3 ' and wedge it vertically so when you fold down the seats your amps will be facing you. It makes it easy to adjust them (sometimes while driving) and easy to run wires. Mine is bolted from the trunk to that horizontal brace in the trunk with lag bolts. Its a good idea to attach it on the bottom too make sure you dont hit your gas tank if you add 1''x1'' strips on the back you can push your sub box back to it and secure it to the amp rack while having room to run your rcas/ wires from the back. You can use fabric from the fabric store to cover it. Ill post pics soon.

well if you want build ideas you can hope on over to my build log, but i dont have an amp rack yet, as you can see i just mounted it all to my back seat for now. and it might be awhile before i have a rack, as my budget is pretty darn tight.

it's hard to read, but it will be facing the rear seat. the amps will be on the sides, cap and digital equalizer in the middle. there will be led's on top of the amps shining down.

the top and bottom will be wood, while the part facing the seat will be plexiglass.

it will also be attached to the sub box, and behind all of the wood in the big space will be wiring, and possibly storage areas if i get into it that much.

any thoughts?

if your sub faces your seat, the sound might sound muffled, the sound waves need room to move. thats why we usialy face them towards the back, bass is omni directional, so their is no concern with Point of oragin, the problem with subs is though they have no notable direction, the things they move, shake at higher frequencys, giving away the position. .

i think you misread what i said, the plexiglass of the amp rack will be facing the back of the seat, the sub is still facing the rear of the vehicle.

maybe i didn't clarify enough haha
