Default Overhead console

I have an 05 monte and I want to know if it's possible to remove the overhead plastic console without removing the headliner. The console does not contain the homelink transmitter/receiver. Does anyone know if the wiring harness that serves the rearview mirror (Onstar) has connections for the homelink system?

Thanks

Like you said, it's easy access to any wiring for the accessories mounted there. Not gonna lie to you man, I'm probably going to steal this idea.
