New System
Hi all, I finally am almost completed my new system. About half way depending on how you look at it.
I Switched over to RE Audio MT 15" from The JL Audio 13.5" w7 I had
The MT will be powered by 2 US AMPS MD 3D amps, they are 2000 RMS each so I will be putting 4000 RMS the the RE Audio MT 15". Some have even put 5000. As of now I still have the Alpine PDX 1.1000 on it since thats what I had for w7. So I am curious to see what 4000 will do.
I also now have JL Audio 300/4 Slash, Switched over from the Alpine MRP-F300. I have that hooked up now Bridged rear and fronts for 2 ohm. Much better than the Alpine.
I will be adding a Kinetic Battery in the back as well as a Optima Red Top up front for power.
Will also be installing the Rockford Fosgate 3sixty.2 sound processor as well.
Any way here is some pics. I will post others as I get them and progress made.
Here is the new box in basic format...
Here is what it looks like with the cover and face... BTW the box was flipped so the port was on the other side. I think it looked better that way.
Here Finally Wrapped in Sued...
It will all be clean when done, still got some stray wires, will post some amp rack pics tomorrow, the amp rack still has lots of work to do so do not be surprised it looks junky lol. Also note that the sides of where it is sueded, where the trunk carpet is still showing will have a "wall" there wrapped in black sued as well.

Looks nice. I'll bet that sucker THUMPS. The best bass is the kind that you feel, not hear. I hope you used a lot of dynamat. I would hate to imagine the rattle that it could produce if you aren't cautious.

Even with the 1000 on it it still hits hard. Any thing less that 1000 rms on it it sounds weak or muffled. As you turn up the volume you can hear it starting to sound more clear. So if anyone wants to get one of these... anywhere from 1000 to 4000 rms will be good for them.
BTW. The box is built to its cu. ft. specs according to RE and is tuned to 30hz
