You can mount it whereever you see fit. I put mine up near the date center in the middle of the ceiling, ya know the thing that tells you the temp and stuff... but some people 3m tape them on the ignition housing (inbetween the guages and the steering wheel), the problem with that is its going to make it a bitch putting on and taking off the dash if you need to. Its really up to you though. Same with the GPS antenna, the directions tell you to put it outside the car I believe, but with experience at Circuit City, its better and easier to install it on the front part of the dash, inside the car, that way its out of the elements and a little less noticable, atleast on a silver car lol

ChevySS, heres some more pics of the install including the bluetooth mic location and the gps antenna location. I havent secured the antenna yet, hence its crookedness.

I tried so many different spots, that was just the best one... I really didnt want to 3M tape it down cuz then its stuck there for the most part, so I had to find a spot to clip it too.

Well I could, but then it wouldnt work. The antenna needs to be exposed to get service. If its in the pillar, it wont get any satelite reception. Its actually supposed to mounted outside the car, but I live in buffalo and working at circuit city and seing all the people with antenna replacements from the weather, I mounted it inside.

I just meant on it... like where the windshield meets the a-pillar, not in it. just taped to it, so it kind of faces out the window (i thought it could be better hidden that way.)
