Default Need some Stereo help!

2002 Monte carlo LS.
No On-Star

Hey everyone!

Im looking for some help with the wires for the stock stereo. Actually just purchased a new headunit but the wiring harness didnt fit. Found out there's a specialty harness for $120.

Is there a way around this by not using a harness or maybe a cheaper harness to buy? I noticed quite a few people had swapped out the stock stereo and was wondering how..

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

Thanks for that!
Ive actually been to an audio store around me and they suggested one from PAC and looking at theyre website they have three radio replacement interfaces.

When i took out my stock stereo the cables matched the on-star one more than the non-onstar interface. Ive been driving the car for about 3 years now and i know i dont have on-star so which one is the right one?

when i bought mine from crutchfield, they insisted i buy a GMOS Interface that can keep the onstar ability even though my car doesn't have it. Still triyng to wire the thing up.
