Need Input on MTX Amplifier
Hey guys,
I am getting ready to put my box together and my 2 10" Polk Audio DXI subs. They are 270RMS DVC subs so when I wire them together I will be getting about 540RMS at 4 ohms. Anyways, I have a buddy with an MTX Thunder TA8502 two-channel amp. If I run it bridged it will be putting out 500w RMS. I can get it with a 4 gauge street wire kit and 2 farad power acoustik capacitor for $85. Any input on this stuff?

All the stuff you mentioned is entry level stuff, but can sound alright as long as it's tuned right and put in the right box. What size box are you building? Is it ported or sealed? What kind of port does it have? (L port, center slot, aero)
