from experience.....NO.....its a pain in the ***. you have to cud dash panels and brackets out of the back of it. stick with the flipout dude and you wont have to worry about punching anything while working on ur car

i dissagree i have a double din nav set up in my car and it was very simple. i had to make no mods to any of my dash panels or anything. all you need it the right dash kit for your car and it will work with out cuting. now as of your hideaway box you could try under your driver set or as well as under the center console.

i placed mine in the trunk. shorter distance to the amp and out of the way of dirty shoes and everyday moving objects. just wrap & tuck those wires really well. i also ran an ipod extension AVcable from the hideaway box to the side of drivers door so that i can plug up my ipod. if you havent gotten the dvd player yet make sure you get one with DUALZONE. that will allow you to use audio from one source and video from another but simultaneously. comes in hand when parking lot pimping! id have latest movie on the screen while having the latest / hottest music blazing out the deck. . . . . . . if your into that sort of thing lol

put it under the rear seat not to far frm dash and not to far from amps, and use cruchfield to make sure everything is compatable.
