A long time ago a company used to make this same thing for the Ford Emblem, a guy put one on his truck(It was blue obviously) and got a ticket for "impersonating emergency vehicle lights" or some ****.

Hey Space, if you look in my album "Project Motor Covor", youll see im completely redoing my motor cover! I ordered the lighted chevy bowtie and plan to put it on the motor cover! Got any other ideas i could do to it? I dont have the slightest clue what ima do to it! xD
