Default interior floor is dreanched

ok it is the first time in a while it has happened. the first time it happened is when I put in the new cabin filter. it has that flap underneath the cowl to divert the rain I don't know how it happened I replaced the flap and it was fine for a while and now my interior is like a pool. any Ideas on why it would do the same thing if it was untuched

check your ac condensation hose and make sure it is going out of the car.

Your ride have sunroof? If so, check the drain tubes , they run down the front pillars and get packed full of debris

A lot of 6th Gen owners have had a problem with the rubber seal under the passenger side cowling. It slips out of position and allows water to enter the vehicle through the blower fan housing. You may want to check it out. Some have purchased a replacement cowl piece (from a Pontiac IIRC) but I just glued my weatherstrip in place with contact cement and it has never leaked.

I had a big puddle on the floor on the passenger side.

It was a plugged drain hose on the AC. Its behind the glove box and the hose should drip outside the car, it goes thru the firewall.

To clear the hose, use a 5/32 drill bit, (in your hand, not in a drill) and insert spin and clean/clear the junk out of the hose. The water inside will now drain directly onto your face if you are under the car when you do this.

So your saying it leaks all the time? If so the eliminates the cowl. Dry everything up and keep you A/C off if it dries up its a clogged drain. If you still have water I would say your heater core is leaking.

I found what was going on with the leak.

it has been raining a lot where I have been living.

the padding on the inside of the fender was blocking the drain passage for the rain to go when it rains.

I had to take off the fender and replace it with a new one.

the rain was collecting faster than it was draining threw that passage and the ac drain and the passage for the cowl that was blocked.

what steps I did was to clean out the drain for the ac and redo the padding for the fender.

talk about a pia to fix nothing but tedious thing to do for the fender to make sure that passage for the cowl to work again.
