i have the wire harness, and mounting kit and jvc unit, (along with the speakers/amp/subs but i can connect those). what do i have to plug into the unit to; power, ground, etc. what color wires would the stereo buttons from the steering wheel be? thx. 98 monte.

 

Connect all the wires if you will be using the factory wires for the speakers. If you are going to set up a new amp for the interior speakers, the only wires you would need to hook up are, 12v power, ground, ignition wire, illumination. I know those four for sure. maybe 1 or 2 more that I am forgetting, I will check tomorrow. Then hook up the RCA cables for the interior speakers, and run new wires to the speakers. And you mentioned subs, you will want to hook up new RCA's for the subs, and dont forget the remote wire.
