Default HVAC Controls Backlights

2004 Monte Carlo SS. I've got my interior HVAC controls panel off the car and I need to replace some backlights. This is the panel just below the radio. The circuit board doesn't want to easily come off. Any advice for the next steps? Is the piece press fit on or do I need to remove some things?

Also, since I'm on lights, are dash instrument cluster lights soldered onto the circuit panel or are their sockets?

Just to clarify, I found the How To on this site, but I'm more asking about the circuit board not wanting to come off the faceplate. I guess that's my question....is it press fit or some other way fixed to the face?
