how do you make stock subs louder?

I added a 10 in sub to my stock system, deffiniatly a improvement, the amp I have had a spot for a high pass hook up, just tapped into the stock rear speaker wiring for a input,
I do belive that make Rca adapter to do that aswell, you won't get as much umph out of it as a aftermarket deck and running rca's but imho deffiniatly worth it

You could amp them, but they're probably blow quickly.
You could get an aftermarket headunit and then bypass the factory amp. That would set you ahead a bit.
If you want good sound, look into a full system, sub, speakers, amps etc.

you need a harness like this:
METRA 70-2054 GM MULTI 1998-2008 AMP BYPASS HARNESS FOR AFTERMARKET INSTALLATION | eBay
or you can wire the wires directly across (this requires splicing and soldering or crimping and is just what the harness does)

Yeah, you would be good with a single 10" or 12" sub. You would need an aftermarket amp though and then you would also have to run power wires, RCAs, remote wire and such.

High performance cars aren't the only one's that have subs in the factory systems.
