Default High Intensity Head Lights

Im not going with projectors due to bad previous experience. I want to put some 'brighter whiters' in there.

Im wondering if any of you guys have had problems with head light yellowing with high intensity bulbs. My 06 LTZ is so perfect, and i want her to stay that way.

Are you putting in a HID kit or just the bulbs? The bulbs wont do anything but change the color of the light.

Im just looking to just change the bulbs. Ive seen some 'HID like' ones for about $80. Im worried they will yellow the lenses, tho.

Even if you change your bulbs to "HID like" bulbs, they still wont be any brighter. Your car doesnt make enough power to make those fake HIDs bright like real HIDs. You will need an HID kit that comes with a ballast to make the HIDs work. And to answer your question, REAL HIDs could possibly turn your lenses yellow, but the fake bulbs will not.

The reason headlights get yellow is because of the sunlight and here in arizona I see alot of dull headlights, Light bulbs won't hurt your lenses as well as HIDS, HIDS are easy to install anduse little power, check my HID PAGE with a short Install guide, I havn't had time to post a how to yet here but I will soon.

Just pick these bulbs up at your local autoparts store if you just want to change the bulbs and want them to be brighter and whiter

Real HIDs are good. Is that what you have on your monte in the pic? Those silverstar bulbs are junk. No brighter than normal and they dont last very long at all.

My bulbs are 12000k, They havn't turned my lenses yellow and they last a longer time than halogen bulbs, there are nice hid kits that are just white and bright like mine, they are 4300k or 5000k temperature bulbs. Take a look at the pick below
